Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 August 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website places in your browser. They let the site “remember” things between pages — what is in your cart, for example, or that you are signed in. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, keep information directly in the browser without sending it to the server.
Their use is governed by Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data in the electronic communications sector and, where personal data is involved, by the GDPR.
2. What we use on this site
Strictly necessary — the shop does not work without them
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Remembers the contents of your cart | session |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Signals that there are products in the cart | session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Links your session to your cart and your order | 2 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Keeps you signed in to your account | session or 14 days |
| wp-settings-* | Display preferences for signed-in users | 1 year |
These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement, as they are indispensable for the service you requested.
Preferences kept locally (localStorage, not cookies)
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| lumea-theme | Remembers whether you prefer the dark or the light theme | until you clear it from your browser |
The value is either “dark” or “light”. It never leaves your browser and tells us nothing about you.
Site language
If the TranslatePress translation plugin is active, it may set a cookie of its own (of the trp_languagekind) to remember the language you chose, Romanian or English.
Analytics and marketing
In the current setup we use no traffic-analytics cookies and no marketing or retargeting cookies. Visit statistics, where used, come from the hosting server logs, which involve no cookies.
3. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because without them you cannot place an order. For any analytics, marketing or personalisation cookie we will ask for your explicit consent through a banner before setting it, and you will be able to accept or decline, and to change your mind at any time.
4. How to control them
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Bear in mind that blocking the necessary cookies makes the cart and the checkout impossible to use.
localStorage data is cleared from the same menus, usually together with “site data”.
5. Third-party cookies
Some of the services we use may set cookies of their own:
- The payment processor — during the payment step, to secure the transaction and prevent fraud.
- Google Fonts — the page fonts load from Google servers, which receive your IP address.
- The hosting provider — may use technical cookies for load balancing or attack protection.
We do not control these third parties’ policies; we recommend consulting them if you want details of their processing.
6. Changes and contact
We update this policy whenever we change the technologies we use. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
